The generator here is the 'pacman' type bush on the left combined with the 'reaction' of the tree.
Seeking to add some balance to the work with the log on the right and depth via the branches. Unfortunately, the center horizontal branch ended up creaping widthwise.
Two of my instructors pointed out different items.
On a Tuesday night I used the mouse and a paint program to rough sketch a solution.
1) was designating an area that required more shadow and taller grass.
2) was a response to the reminder negative space can be an eye attractant.
3) was an addition to break the center area away from the horizon line as well as add more depth.
4) was a speculation reminder if I needed to thicken that area based on load.
